Full Time | Mount Prospect, IL, US
Monday–Friday | 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Salary Range: $18.00 To $21.00 Hourly

Background:The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating various types of production machinery and equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role works closely with production team members, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operations, high‑quality output, and adherence to product specifications.
Responsibilities:- Load and unload raw materials into production machinery to maintain continuous and efficient operations
- Inspect finished products at regular intervals to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Accurately complete required production reports and data entries in a timely manner
- Start up production lines and verify proper machine setup and functionality
- Set up, adjust, and calibrate machinery in accordance with production specifications and standard operating procedures
- Verify incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and readiness for production use
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues during operation to minimize downtime
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, and material handling teams to support efficient workflow
- Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Working knowledge of production machinery and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Results‑driven, dependable, and self‑motivated work ethic
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional team members
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills related to operational and maintenance issues
- Experience performing quality control checks and completing required production reporting
- Ability to train or assist other employees as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions in English
- Basic math skills required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production operations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery, tools, and controls
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery
- Required use of personal protective equipment, including steel‑toe boots
- Work is performed in a manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse environment.
- This role involves regular exposure to dust, laundry detergent odors, and elevated noise levels.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel‑toed shoes must be worn as required.
- Work pace may be fast with frequent deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, and other warehouse machinery.
