Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Job Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance per published schedule. Performs corrective maintenance as needed in a timely fashion. Documents within GMP systems that all required tasks have been completed.
- Assist Engineers in carrying out engineering evaluations / troubleshooting.
- Oversees inventory on all spare parts and equipment consumables.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with motors, sensors, control systems, and related components.
- Follow OSHA standards and lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe maintenance practices
- Setup production equipment. Train operators on the use of production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Ability to coordinate repairs and spare part purchases with vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Keys to Success:
High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience working as a mechanic or technician preferred
- Preferred:
Experience in a cGMP environment - Familiarity with pharmaceutical packaging equipment (fillers, labeling machines, blister machines, bottle capping, induction sealers, card sealers.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Ability to complete GMP documentation
- Ability to work independently
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
- Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing.
- Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Able to work in walk in refrigerators and freezers.
- Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.

Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $25.58–$38.37.
