Registered Nurse - Per Diem Level I - Intermediate Care Unit - Nights

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Per Diem Level I – Must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, which includes 24 hours of time on weekends.
• Hours:
  
  7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• Rotating holidays
• Must attend nursing orientation: first week Monday–Thursday from 8:00 am–4:30 pm; second week Tuesday from 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

• Provide patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinate patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualize patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participate in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
