The Inside Sales Associate, Automation supports the growth and management of automation-related accounts and market segments, including private label partners, distributors, direct customers, and sales representatives.

This role partners closely with the Inside Sales Account Manager, Automation to support the expansion of the automation product portfolio and customer base. The Associate executes day-to-day account support activities, develops product and application knowledge, and enhances the customer experience through responsive service and proactive communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support for automation accounts and Regional and Strategic Sales Managers, including quote generation, order entry, order status updates, customer inquiries, and issue resolution
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Maintain accurate customer data, pricing, and activity within CRM and ERP systems
  • Partner with the Inside Sales Account Manager to:
    • Track and follow up on open quotes and sales opportunities
    • Prepare customer-specific pricing and proposals
  • Support private label partners, distributors, and independent sales representatives with:
    • Product information and documentation
    • Pricing and lead time communication
    • Coordination with internal teams (purchasing, operations, engineering)
  • Ensure consistent communication and service levels across assigned accounts
  • Develop a strong understanding of automation products, applications, target markets, customer segments, and sales processes
  • Participate in customer calls, meetings, and account reviews
  • Progressively assume ownership of smaller accounts or defined segments over time
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Regional and Strategic Sales Managers, independent sales representatives, and authorized distributors
  • Escalate issues appropriately and drive timely resolution
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industrial and/or automation components industry
  • Exposure to distributors, OEMs, and private label or channel sales models
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn product applications quickly
  • Customer focus and responsiveness
  • Attention to detail and execution discipline
  • Initiative and learning agility

  • Problem-solving and accountability

The position will be on-site 5 days a week while training then transition into a hybrid position once training is complete.
