Overview
This position plays a key role in preparing and maintaining the athletic facility to ensure a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Responsibilities include opening and closing the facility, preparing fields for adult softball games (including setting bases and field setup), monitoring the site during play, and maintaining cleanliness by emptying trash and addressing general upkeep needs.
Anticipated Hiring Range
: $15-$17/Hr.

Seasonal position April - October
- Oversee daily operations of Melas Park Softball Complex, including opening/closing procedures.
- Set up ball fields for league and tournament play; prepare score sheets and game balls for umpires.
- Enter game scores into Quick Scores software and maintain field conditions by sweeping, cleaning, and adding rubber filler to turf.
- Ensure cleanliness of concession areas, sitting areas, restrooms, and maintenance garage.
- Assist patrons with concerns and uphold safety policies in compliance with District regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and perform additional duties as assigned.

- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- CPR and AED certification
- Basic knowledge of tasks involved in the general upkeep of athletic grounds and fields and maintenance garages preferred but not required
- Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions
