Primary Responsibilities:
  • Own inventory accuracy across Shopify, products, and all warehouse locations.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations between physical inventory and Shopify records.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and monitor inventory transfers, returns, exchanges, damaged goods, and shrinkage.
  • Ensure accurate and standardized SKU, barcode, product, and inventory data.
  • Serve as the Shopify system administrator for warehouse inventory operations.
  • Maintain inventory organization within Shopify and ensure products are correctly assigned to warehouse and fulfillment locations.
  • Monitor inventory availability to minimize stockouts, backorders, and overselling.
  • Partner with warehouse teams to improve receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain Shopify inventory settings, configurations, workflows, and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate synchronization of inventory across Shopify and connected marketplaces and systems.
  • Troubleshoot inventory synchronization and system issues and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve them.
  • Support seasonal demand, promotions, and marketing campaigns by validating inventory setup, availability, and warehouse readiness.
  • Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators to support operational decision-making.
  • Analyze inventory trends, stock movement, turnover, aging, availability, and other performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory efficiency, accuracy, and availability while reducing carrying costs and shrinkage.
  • Identify opportunities to automate inventory and warehouse processes within Shopify and integrated systems.
  • Support the implementation of new inventory tools, warehouse technologies, and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain inventory procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Train and support warehouse staff on inventory best practices, processes, and Shopify inventory procedures.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, and administration of inventory software platforms.
  • Hands-on experience administering inventory within Shopify.
  • Proven experience reconciling inventory discrepancies and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and data integrity.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret inventory and operational data.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience supporting warehouse operations and inventory control processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to operational accuracy and service excellence.
