Maintenance and Groundskeeper (Paulson Park I)
Mountain View, California
Property Name: Paulson Park I
Under the supervision of the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property.
Responsibilities- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, annual inspections, and preparing vacant units for re-occupancy
- Perform light maintenance: electrical, plumbing, painting, and minor repairs (e.g., glass, tile, locks)
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
- Clean common areas including laundry rooms, restrooms, offices, and hallways
- Maintain outdoor areas: pick up ground debris daily, sweep sidewalks and parking lots, trim shrubs, and remove weeds
- Monitor and report grounds conditions, complete routine groundskeeping logs, and ensure exterior areas are safe and presentable
- Participate in emergency standby schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Comply with safety policies and perform other duties as assigned
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulation
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and scale ladders
- Have reliable knowledge of all utility routing and cut-offs, including shop and storage rooms, and ensure equipment is secure
- Commitment to the Mission and Values of Mid Pen Services and Mid Pen Housing
- This position is considered moderately to highly physical and requires a lot of standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- Able to stoop, kneel, carry, push and pull, ascend/descend stairs, climb on ladders, climb on roofs, and crawl in confined spaces on a regular basis
- The ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to hear, speak, and read
- High School diploma or GED is required
- One year of experience with maintenance, landscape and irrigation systems
$21.54 - $24.23 Hourly (Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications)
