Overview
Mountain Motorsports seeks a competitive, non‑entry level motorcycle/ATV/PWC technician with 1 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have a strong drive, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair two‑ and four‑stroke engines.
- Remove and replace engine components on marine vehicles.
- Remove and replace defective frame and body parts using hand tools, arbor presses, and other equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues.
- Perform preventative and regular maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
- Compose repair estimates for internal and external customers.
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional recommended services.
- Prepare a list of required parts and labor times for each job.
- Explain diagnostic test results to the Service Manager and, if necessary, to the customer.
- Perform test rides and other vehicle tests.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines as determined by Georgia law and management.
- Provide own basic tools and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Language skills to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Education and experience:
1 to 3 years related experience and/or training. - Basic computer knowledge for typing and scheduling systems.
- OEM certifications preferred.
- Regular attendance during normal store hours, including 9+ hour days and weekend work.
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Capacity to work in high‑stress environments and under tight deadlines, with occasional longer or later hours as needed.
- Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs and pushing of objects up to 100+ lbs.
- Occasional exposure to temperature and humidity changes.
- Frequent working with and around others.
- Occasional work around mechanical parts and hazardous chemicals.
- Occasional work around moving objects (including dogs and other service animals).
- Noise level: medium to high.
