Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment supporting Walmart stores. Responsibilities include developing preventative maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs on time, and training Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules by providing required written and electronic information (expense vouchers, weekly summaries, maintenance logs).

• 3 years' experience in maintenance.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Strong customer service orientation, clear and respectful communication.
• Effective personal accountability and time‑management skills.
• Adaptability to changing demands and solid judgment to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with a servant‑leadership mindset.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
• Related trade license in the city or state of employment.
• Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00. The actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
