Repair Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Repair Technician to join our team. In this position, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, device calibrations, and other preventative maintenance on specified healthcare equipment, ensuring all devices are clean, up to date, and calibrated to individual manufacturer and company specifications.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Accurately update work orders with parts and labor used, calibration results, device checklists, status changes, and physical movements in the Service Manager system via barcode scanning devices and other data entry methods.
- Adhere to and implement all company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, vendors, and other departments both verbally and in writing.
- Determine when repairs are feasible compared to manufacturing guidelines.
- Determine repair priorities based on device need and cost of repair.
- Establish relationships with department peers and other departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse working environment.
- Maintain record keeping as necessary to comply with policies and procedures.
- Maintain working relationships with manufacturers to ensure device software and calibration procedures remain up to date.
- Pass and maintain vendor‑training classes and become certified per manufacturing classes.
- Perform physical inventory cycle counts and periodic physical inventory.
- Handle physical movement of products in the service center and ensure an orderly flow of devices to the distribution team.
- Practice safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Provide technical support to locations for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintain tools and testing equipment necessary for performing repairs and calibrations.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to meet manufacturer guidelines and specifications.
- Understand and evaluate electrical systems via electronic meter.
- Understand the integrations and dependencies of the repair center operations and processes with the Service Manager System.
- Volunteer and perform other duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Experience in medical field, distribution, medical devices, or inventory management.
- One year of related work experience.
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written.
- Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non‑verbal, written, listening, and visual).
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information.
- Multi‑task with attention to detail.
- Self‑motivation, organization, time‑management and deductive problem‑solving skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Handheld barcode scanner for data input.
- Operate select functions within the Service Manager System.
- Oxygen analyzers, flow meters, RMS multimeters, regulated power supplies and testing devices.
- Utilization of certain material handling equipment.
- Basic email transmission and communication.
- Internet navigation and research.
- Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Office equipment (fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer or tablet).
- Extensive walking and working on one’s feet for extended periods.
- Lift individual boxes up to 60 lbs as necessary.
- Use hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, drill drivers, and crimpers).
- Close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork.
