This position is on the hourly, nonunion grade D scale. $14.2624-$17.5321 per hour.
General Job Function:
The Building Custodian for the MAISD facilities ensures a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Under the direction of the Custodial Operations Manager, these positions will perform standard cleaning duties, unique cleaning duties related to the needs of the various MAISD programs, operate industrial floor machinery, and manage the physical setup for district meetings and events.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by the Michigan Revised School Code.
- Ability to follow instructions from the Custodial Operations Supervisor and interact politely and professionally with all students, staff and guests.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds (essential for moving conference furniture and handling supplies). Constant standing and walking; ability to bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift. Physical stamina to operate heavy floor machinery and move furniture repeatedly.
