Custodian- Aquatic Center; Part Time

General Statement of Job

Under general supervision, cleans and maintains the general appearance and cleanliness of City facilities and amenities. Performs a variety of custodial tasks and duties.

High school graduate with the ability to learn and utilize new skills in the area of Custodial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must be physically able to operate a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, and a copier. Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to fifty pounds.

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of custodial tasks and duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning offices, public areas, locker rooms, shower rooms and restrooms at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Work hours will be up to 32 hours per week. Must be available day shift Monday through Friday and night shift Thursday through Sunday. This is a year round position.

Performs related duties as required.
