Responsible for completing maintenance requests and repairs to upkeep the Mystic Seaport Museum.
This Position Duties Of The General Maintainer Shall Include- Perform routine maintenance and general carpentry on buildings.
- Perform interior and exterior painting.
- Use power tools and other equipment for building and grounds maintenance.
- Perform various groundskeeping maintenance.
- Perform set‑up and break‑down services for special events. Such services may include delivery and erection of tents; and delivery and set‑up of tables and chairs.
- Provide manual labor support to other Facilities Management as assigned.
- Winter Operations support during snow removal.
- Trash collection.
- Gutter cleaning.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Be capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- Be able to perform work from a ladder.
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather both cold and hot.
- Skills using power tools and equipment desired.
