What this job involves- Leads a team of maintenance mechanics and coordinates with robotics and controls systems technicians to ensure a safe working environment in a fast-paced setting.
- Models safety standards and maintains an environment always focused on safety.
- Leads, trains, and supports maintenance team members to develop skills and expand team capabilities.
- Develops solutions to difficult problems and manages outside contractors; on-call for emergencies.
- Supports multi-site production and maintains a client-centric approach to safety and service.
- Demonstrates energetic, self-motivated and customer-centric behaviors consistently.
- Manages multiple projects and daily activities, meets deadlines, and plans to achieve departmental and distribution goals.
- Provides complete oversight of preventive maintenance for the facility and serves as the client contact during shifts.
- Maintains flexibility to work various shifts and alternative schedules as needed.
- Moves throughout the facility to attend to equipment and team members as needed.
- Partner with onsite Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure safety standards are met.
- Meet operational KPIs, including labor tracking.
- Own scheduling and tracking completion of tickets.
- Oversee building cleanliness and accurate inventory tracking.
- Perform daily and weekly audits for cleanliness and work orders.
- Implement preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and alternative schedules as needed.
- Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls.
- Must be authorized to work within the hiring country without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience managing budgets and vendors.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience in project management.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and walk extensively throughout the facility during shift.
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to lift parts and tools weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Dexterity with eye/hand coordination, manual tasks, and wrist motions.
- Working conditions may include elevated heights, small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces.
