Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description & How to Apply Below
About the Role As a CBRE Maintenance Technician Level 3, you will be the most junior member of the maintenance team — but this is not an entry-level role. You must bring enough mechanical and electrical competence to work independently on routine maintenance, respond to first-call issues, and support an active high-speed bottling line. On this team, everyone has a job to do from day one.
You will be responsible for first-response maintenance, preventive maintenance inspections, and routine-to-intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. You will work alongside Senior Technicians who can provide guidance on more complex issues, but you should be able to manage your own workload without constant direction.
Winery experience is not required — it can be learned. What cannot be taught quickly is the mechanical foundation needed to support a high-speed production environment. Candidates with high-speed manufacturing backgrounds are strongly preferred.
Site Context This role supports a dynamic, high-output operation that includes high-speed manufacturing, bottling lines, guest experience facilities, general office, storage, warehousing, and wastewater and drain water systems. Understanding the operational rhythm of this site is essential.
The site operates two production lines: one runs seasonally for approximately six months per year filling bottles, and a second line runs daily for 11–12 months per year across one or two shifts producing finished goods and empty cages. Output adapts continuously to market demand, meaning downtime is not predictable and all maintenance personnel must be capable of supporting an active bottling line.
The site operates on a two-shift model with three technicians per shift. During harvest season — typically six to eight weeks, generally falling between early August and mid-September, though timing can vary year to year — maintenance moves to a 24/7 schedule. Shifts restructure into three 8-hour rotations across six days, with a dedicated Sunday check-in to ensure facility integrity. No time off is permitted during harvest.
All candidates must be comfortable with this schedule structure before applying.
What You'll Do
• Perform first-response maintenance and inspections across mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks per schedule; document work accurately in the CMMS.
• Diagnose and repair routine-to-intermediate mechanical and electrical issues independently.
• Support the bottling line — this is non-negotiable for this role. All technicians must be capable of supporting production line operations.
• Assist Senior Technicians during complex repairs, shutdowns, and equipment modifications.
• Conduct building walk-throughs to identify and report potential issues.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and CBRE procedures.
• Participate in harvest season 24/7 operations with modified shift structure (no time off during this period). What You'll Need
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Solid mechanical…
