Position:
Groundskeeper


We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the curb appeal and cleanliness of our property's grounds, common areas, and amenities.

Your role will be essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Walk and inspect the property frequently, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings from all areas, including community rooms, pool areas, laundry rooms, parking lots, and more.
  • Maintain clean and tidy grounds by raking, sweeping, shoveling, and plowing as needed.
  • Use leaf blowers to keep sidewalks and walking areas free of debris.
  • Check and replace exterior lighting regularly to ensure safety.
  • Perform routine property maintenance, including repairing windows, screens, and sliding glass doors.
  • Assist with physical tasks such as tearing down fences, digging post holes, and moving discarded furniture.
  • Support the maintenance team with "make-ready" duties and daily trash-out of vacated apartments.
  • Complete minor service requests as directed by the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist in changing locks, making keys, and performing interior/exterior painting.
  • Distribute resident communications such as newsletters, event notices, and pest control updates.
  • Maintain storage areas and utility rooms, ensuring they are locked when not in use.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain the company-approved dress code at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of maintenance systems, including inventory control, preventive maintenance, and work order record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, and electric circuits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and work independently in a busy environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between assigned properties if necessary.
