Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance / Janitorial Technician to support the daily upkeep and improvement of the property. This role involves a high volume of painting, repairs, and power washing, along with general janitorial and maintenance duties. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work and does not need constant supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport trash and recycling dumpsters to designated collection areas on scheduled pickup days and return them after service
- Keep trash and recycling areas clean, organized, and free of debris
- Pick up litter and debris throughout property grounds and parking areas
- Perform frequent painting, repairs, power washing, and other basic maintenance tasks
- Assist the facilities maintenance manager and general manager as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning materials and equipment
- Report maintenance issues or building safety concerns promptly to management
- Provide courteous and professional interactions with residents and visitors
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds (dumpsters, recycling bins, equipment)
- Comfortable climbing and working on ladders up to 6 feet
- Ability to perform physical work indoors and outdoors throughout the shift
- Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred
- Must be a go-getter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
