Job Overview:
The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below;
Daily Responsibilities:
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebasket and transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
Job Qualifications:
- Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 as a condition of employment.
- Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus.
- Medical cleaning experience is a plus.
- Post‑Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
Physical Demands:
Requires regular standing, walking, hand use, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Also requires frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
Work Environment:
Employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, occasional exposure near moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is usually quiet.
