AIRPORT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I – (Full-Time) WHO ARE WE?
Naples Airport Authority serves the community with a purpose of providing a safe, efficient and financially sustainable airport that best serves the overall interests of the community.
THE POSITIONWe’re looking for an Airport Maintenance Technician to help maintain the buildings, grounds and facilities that support Naples Airport. This hands‑on position performs a variety of preventive maintenance, repair, landscaping and grounds maintenance activities to help keep airport facilities safe, functional and well maintained.
Some of the position duties include:
- Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of airport buildings, hangars, grounds, landscaping and irrigation systems.
- Performs basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and general building maintenance.
- Performs landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning and irrigation maintenance.
- Operates hand and power tools, landscaping equipment, vehicles and other maintenance equipment.
- Identifies and addresses maintenance, safety, appearance and operational issues throughout airport facilities and grounds.
- Uses work order and asset management systems to receive assignments and document completed work.
- Supports airport operations during emergencies, special events, outages and other operational needs.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, construction or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in building maintenance, landscaping, grounds maintenance, construction or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices, tools, equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to safely perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping and general maintenance activities.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn work order and asset management systems.
- Working knowledge of applicable FAA and OSHA requirements; OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Valid Florida driver’s license with driving record meeting Authority standards required.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Starting Salary: $22.23 per hour
