The Maintenance Supervisor leads plant maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and production uptime. This role oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs, contractor/vendor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Review and prioritize incoming work orders; define scope and planning requirements
- Schedule and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance activities
- Lead TPM and continuous improvement initiatives (MTTF/MTBF reduction)
- Manage contractors and vendor performance
- Procure tools, equipment, and replacement components
- Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain facility systems and production equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Maintain maintenance records, timekeeping, and documentation
- Lead maintenance-related projects
- 10+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing
- OR
- 5+ years maintenance experience + Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Business)
- Journeyman-level technical capability
- Strong knowledge of TPM, preventive/predictive maintenance systems
- Experience reducing downtime and improving reliability metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to assess and manage operational risk
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work off-shift, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel for training or plant workshops
- Strong attendance record
This is a production-focused manufacturing maintenance leadership role — not basic facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate understands high-volume operations, equipment reliability, and accountability for uptime and performance.
