Overview

Maintenance Custodian Associate role at Sam's Club.

Base pay range: $17.00/hr – $24.00/hr.

As a Maintenance Associate, you are responsible for ensuring members see a well-kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors, staying on your feet and maintaining a positive attitude to enhance the member experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Work in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to changing scenarios.
  • Take pride in your work, keeping member satisfaction as the top priority.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility by performing maintenance tasks, conducting safety sweeps, and following safety standards and procedures.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely, follow forklift spotting procedures, and adhere to company steel standard guidelines.
  • Clean all areas of the facility—including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles—using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Company Environmental Sustainability Program.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of Company‑approved chemicals and supplies; rotate and store them properly and place orders when supplies are low.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for members and associates by performing maintenance as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Preferred:
    Experience in a maintenance or custodial role; knowledge of safety and environmental compliance.
