Location:
1027 18TH AVE. S., Nashville, TN 37212. Position Type:
Part Time. Job Shift: Any.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports the Mission and Strategic goals of the Center.
- Commits to working in and promoting a diverse workplace.
- Conduct room set‑ups including tables, easels, easel pads, markers and chairs.
- Install Audio Visual equipment in rooms as requested.
- Check with Guest Services Director and Sales Director to receive all daily updates.
- Be prepared to clean up and re‑set any rooms as required to assist in the daily events/functions of the center.
- Replace and refurbish fixtures as needed (tables, chairs, A/V equipment etc.).
- Move furniture and building items as required to support the Catering Staff.
- Respond to emergency setup needs with guests, and staff.
- Communicate regularly with Directors and staff to give a concise and thorough status report of all details of setup and A/V issues.
- Identify and report maintenance issues that have not been corrected or need correction.
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance and repair of all meeting rooms as needed.
- Fill out quarterly maintenance reports on all meeting spaces.
- Assist the housekeepers as needed/required for daily services.
- Other duties as assigned and as needed.
- Incumbent may be required to respond to needs after regular scheduled Center operations.
- Check all interior and exterior building grounds for ongoing service.
- Work with Housekeeping staff to ensure efficient information is shared regarding any special needs or other issues that may arise around guest relations.
- Be pleasant and helpful at all times regarding guest needs.
- Willingness to attend and participate in professional growth training if required or requested.
- Show leadership ability under stressful situations.
- Ability to resolve conflict and motivate others.
- Ability to participate as a team member.
- Ability to analyze and work in a technical and mechanical environment.
- Ability to physically set up and operate audio visual equipment and devises, as needed.
- Ability to physically lift and move chairs, tables and other conference center furniture.
