Commercial Cleaner​/Day Porter

Custodian

Custodian is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and understands the importance of a clean and welcoming space for our clients.

Essential Job Functions:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, clean interior glass and dust throughout the facility
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, lobby, common areas, mix rooms and offices
• Empty trash and restock restroom supplies
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained
• Work together with facilities manager on supply reorder and organize supply
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to facilities manager
• Attention to detail and pride in your work

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift or move materials up to 35 lbs
• Previous custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial facility
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Exercise sound judgment and discretion in all matters including client confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Flexibility to work special events
• Good command of the English language and understand of oral or written instructions
• Frequent walking throughout the facility with ability to walk, bend or stand for extended periods
• Must be able to work in a fast paced and high-energy environment
• Maintaining neat and clean personal appearance

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Performs cleaning and housekeeping duties within the facility including lobby, restrooms, conference rooms, mix rooms, breakroom, offices, kitchenettes, interior glass, trash, shop floor, warehouse sinks/water fountains, supply closets
• Help maintain facilities consumable inventory and organization
• Work with facility manager on specific cleaning needs
