Cleaning Services, Commercial Cleaning
Job Description
Pay: $18–$22/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Part-time
Location: Nashville and surrounding service areas
Transportation: Must have a reliable personal vehicle
Mileage: Include mileage reimbursement for approved travel between job sites.
Purpose of the Position
The primary responsibility of this position is to prevent client complaints by catching and correcting cleaning issues before the client does.
This is a hands-on quality-control position, not simply someone walking through properties and taking pictures. The inspector will be responsible for checking our crews’ work, ensuring Southern Domestic Diva standards have been met, and personally cleaning and correcting anything that was missed or not completed properly when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Professional residential and/or commercial cleaning experience is required
- Previous management, supervisory, team-lead, or quality-control experience
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel throughout the Nashville area between client properties
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize cleaning deficiencies
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable professionally addressing quality issues with cleaning team members
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients when necessary
- Able to use a smartphone for inspection checklists, photos, reporting, Asana/team communication, and scheduling
- Must be physically able and willing to clean and correct work personally when something does not pass inspection
Responsibilities
- Travel to Southern Domestic Diva cleaning projects throughout Nashville
- Inspect completed cleaning work for quality and completeness
- Give priority to new clients, first-time cleans, deep cleans, move-in/move-out cleans, commercial accounts, problem accounts, and other projects management identifies as needing additional oversight
- Complete detailed quality-control inspection checklists
- Inspect kitchens, bathrooms, floors, baseboards, dusting, glass, fixtures, appliances, bedrooms, common areas, and all services included in the client’s cleaning
- Take photos and document issues when appropriate
- Identify anything missed, incomplete, damaged, improperly cleaned, or below company standards
- Immediately clean and correct missed or unsatisfactory areas when possible rather than allowing the client to discover the issue
- Ensure the property is fully ready for the client before leaving
- Follow up with cleaning teams regarding deficiencies and recurring problems
- Help coach and retrain cleaners when quality issues are identified
- Report repeated performance or quality concerns to management
- Communicate client concerns immediately to management
- Confirm client satisfaction when appropriate
- Look for patterns in complaints or missed items so we can correct the underlying issue, not just the individual cleaning
- Help ensure crews are following company procedures, checklists, and professional presentation standards
The Person We Are Looking For
We need someone who takes ownership of the finished product. They should walk into a property with the mindset that the client should never be the person who discovers what we missed.
If something isn’t right, the inspector needs to find it, fix it, document it, and communicate what happened so we can prevent it from happening again.
Please make it very clear in the job posting that applicants must have actual cleaning experience and must be willing to clean themselves. This is not an inspection-only position.
