Compensation: $17 per hour plus some benefits

Job Summary:

ServiceFM is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Full-Time Night Custodian to support a private school campus in the Green Hills area of Nashville. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment during evening hours, ensuring classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas are properly cleaned and ready for the next day. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering high-quality custodial work in an educational setting.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping (wet/dry), restroom and cafeteria cleaning, trash removal, and window and door cleaning
• Maintain the cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, cafeterias, and other common areas
• Remove debris from grounds and empty interior and exterior trash bins
• Set up and clean up for events, including moving and arranging furniture as needed
• Perform floor and carpet maintenance throughout the year as needed, including routine cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, extraction, and deep cleaning during scheduled summer and other school breaks
• Secure the building at the end of the shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns

Qualifications &

Physical Requirements:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, including lifting to 50 lbs, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work evening hours and occasional weekends for special events
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and fingerprint screening because this position services schools and other facilities where background clearance is required.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-free environment
• Basic ability to track time and communicate using a smartphone or timekeeping device
