Role summary:
The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing scheduled work, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires technical expertise in troubleshooting, quality assurance, and cost control, along with effective communication with facility users and third-party providers.

The Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency, contributing to a well-maintained and secure environment aligned with company standards.

About the team:
The Facilities Services team ensures safe and efficient store operations by managing HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and building systems. Senior Technicians independently diagnose and resolve complex issues to maintain continuous service. The team prioritizes accountability, collaboration, and safety while delivering operational excellence. Members develop technical expertise through hands‑on problem‑solving and managing urgent challenges. This dynamic environment offers meaningful work supporting store functions and enhancing the customer experience.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and prioritize exterior facility projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare and execute budgets, including cost estimates and approval of purchases for parts, materials, and equipment.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, landscaping, and equipment servicing.
• Operate and inspect heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety compliance and proper maintenance.
• Lead third-party providers through coaching and performance evaluations to maintain service quality.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot facility issues and provide technical assistance to support operational needs.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience managing facility services with a focus on exterior maintenance and project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets, including cost estimation and purchase approvals.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving customer concerns effectively.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining heavy machinery and powered equipment safely.
• Demonstrated leadership in coaching third-party providers and managing workforce priorities.
