Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and efficient exterior facility operations. This role involves managing seasonal maintenance activities, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician supports cost control through effective resource management and collaborates with management and third-party providers to uphold quality standards. About the team: The Facilities Services team ensures safe and efficient store operations by managing HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and building systems. Senior Technicians independently diagnose and resolve complex issues to maintain continuous service. The team emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and safety while delivering operational excellence. Members develop technical expertise through hands‑on problem‑solving and managing urgent challenges. This dynamic environment offers meaningful work supporting store functions and enhancing the customer experience.

What you'll do:

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Coordinate purchases, cost estimates, and budget preparation for parts, equipment, and supplies.
• Lead and develop third‑party providers, fostering professional growth and performance evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with facility users to address and resolve service needs and complaints.

What you'll bring:

• Proven ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Experience in managing facility exterior services, including seasonal maintenance such as snow and ice removal.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving customer service issues effectively.
• Competence in budget preparation, cost control, and procurement of parts, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to lead third‑party providers and coach associates to foster professional growth.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with management and support teams.
