Overview
The Venue Technician (“Venue Tech”) works closely with the Venue Technician Lead to deliver a best-in-class gameplay experience for Level
99 guests. You will work hand‑on to maintain, repair, improve, and replace Level
99’s attractions and entertainment facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well‑maintained venue.

- Troubleshoot electro‑mechanical systems, sets, wiring, facilities items, and other systems throughout the venue.
- Repair and maintain Level
99’s facility and attraction elements, using skills/techniques that may include: - Expert craftsmanship in materials such as wood, metal, plastics, etc.
- Painting, surfacing, and refinishing, including decorative and scenic elements.
- Practical wiring of electro‑mechanical devices and systems.
- Troubleshooting PCs, networks, micro‑controllers, and other electronic equipment.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of safe and efficient use of all relevant shop hand and power tools.
- Study and interpret shop drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and other design documents.
- Have a working knowledge of general facility maintenance practices such as plumbing, HVAC, wiring, etc.
- Assist in updating and maintaining documentation, procedures, and the attraction maintenance log to ensure proper, efficient, and safe operation of the attractions and the entertainment space as a whole.
- Keep individual work spaces, and the building as a whole, clean, organized, and efficient.
- Perform preventative maintenance and weekly inspections/upkeep for Level
99 attractions as needed. - Maintain an organized, prioritized, continuously updated personal task list with estimated completion dates.
- Research, specify, and purchase products and solutions for recurring venue maintenance items.
- Prioritize personal safety and the safety of coworkers and guests day‑to‑day.
- Continuously uphold Level
99 brand and visual standards across all parts of the business, including product, experience, graphic design, and display standards, as well as environmental cleanliness and organization. - Ensure guest safety within the venue by continuously monitoring and addressing any foreseeable risks to guests’ health and welfare.
- Take initiative, see what needs to be done, and assemble the resources to accomplish self‑determined goals, continually pursuing improvement of guest experience and venue performance.
- Follow the direction of supervisors and manage time effectively.
- Maintain a positive, upbeat, pro‑active attitude and inspire the same in fellow team members.
- Occasional travel to help open new venues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency responsiveness.
- Ability to work ten‑hour‑plus shifts and stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods; walk up and down stairs/ladders; read/interpret technical manuals and instructions.
- Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, work calmly and effectively with a leader under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and complete assigned tasks during operating hours while guests are present.
- Operational knowledge of technical equipment, including rigging, carpentry, sound, and lighting.
- Experience with the safe operation of power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts, and electricity.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- High integrity and professionalism.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and embrace new technology, with specific knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
- Positive, joyful, upbeat, and energetic attitude.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into the details as a team player with a get‑things‑done proactive attitude.
$22 – $27 an hour
While we don’t expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we’re looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in areas that are new.
