Location: Dakota City
Responsibilities
- Maintaining SAP PM System data and reporting.
- Analyzing data for use in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Maintaining and developing enterprise-wide best‑practice preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring continuous review of P.M. work orders as they relate to equipment history.
- Making recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization.
- Learning Universal Maintenance Standards to develop reasonable time estimates for maintenance tasks.
- Identifying and labeling all new equipment in keeping with Tyson standards and keeping records current.
- Using KPIs to provide fact‑based feedback to the Maintenance Manager.
- Planning maintenance work with regard to skill level and safety training required.
- Reviewing SAP data from other Tyson locations with similar equipment, reporting findings and recommendations.
- Administering maintenance shift scheduling backlog and planning for scheduled downtime work, including parts availability.
- Interfacing with engineering, local management, Operations Support, other corporate departments, and outside entities on special projects and CIR development.
- Interfacing with Operations Support on reports to develop track and report to management.
- Education: Minimum high school or GED diploma; any post‑high‑school maintenance training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two years of in‑house mechanical experience; formal mechanical skills training from Tyson maintenance; knowledge of parts‑room procedures and policies; prior experience in successfully planning and scheduling maintenance management is a plus.
- Computer
Skills:
Must be proficient or become proficient in SAP maintenance and Microsoft Office suite within 90 days. - Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
- Special
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, interpersonal communication, problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently. - Supervisory responsibilities:
None.
Shift: A Shift (United States of America). Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
