Description of WorkThe U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is a 34,000‑acre facility located near Clay Center, NE. The work performed at USMARC supports research that is focused on solving high priority problems for the U.S. beef cattle, sheep, and swine industries.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will- Operate all types of heavy equipment to move snow, dirt and maintain roads. Equipment includes trucks, scrapers, loaders, bulldozers, and road graders.
- Maintain and perform basic repairs of all heavy equipment.
This position requires evening and weekend hours and work in inclement weather as work and weather conditions dictate.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience plus one (1) year of experience in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. Equivalent education/experience considered.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
- Ability to perform minor repairs of heavy equipment.
- Knowledge, skills, and ability to use surveyors tools.
$23.00/hr minimum
