Job DescriptionWe are searching for a talented and qualified employee who is willing to learn and work in an operations role. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and will report to the Location Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Grain:
- Determine and wear proper personal protective equipment to complete every task.
- Operate equipment such as skid loaders, pay loaders and telehandlers.
- Ability to work at different sites and locations.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Follow and ensure all team members are following safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily operations as assigned by location manager and/or grain superintendent to include but not limited to loading/unloading trucks, housekeeping, inventory, monitoring grain, walking flats, etc.
- Working knowledge of all facilities and equipment on the location
- Ability to work extended seasonal hours, weekends, holidays, and overnight hours when necessary.
- Flexibility to work with other locations and departments when necessary.
- Load shuttle trains and single cars as needed. Shuttle trains load when they come in, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
- Clearly and concisely convey information with customers, other team members, grain superintendent, and location manager in a positive manner.
- Promote a safe work culture through leadership and personal actions. Follow all safety policies and take accountability for all co-workers doing the same.
- Know the location emergency action plan and location of worker protection standards information.
- Understand locational goals and take it upon yourself to achieve or exceed these goals.
- Exhibits emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and teamwork skills with others.
- Listening at appropriate times and allows for constructive feedback from others.
- Shows and receives earned respect from others.
- Participates in team building activities, on and off the work site.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and professional facility always.
- Ensure housekeeping and grounds maintenance are well kept at all times.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on locational equipment.
- Agronomy:
- Accountable for helping with day-to-day operations at location
- Accountable for working with others in a positive and safe manner
- Accountable for maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Assists with inventory counts
- Clear communication with managers, employees, and customers
- Ability and willingness to jump in and help with a positive attitude on projects that the location is involved in
- Assist in sales calls if asked
- Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with company managers, employees, customers, stockholders, and outside third-party interests
- Organization, planning, and problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and with ability to perform under schedules and deadlines
- Provide additional support to other divisions within the company as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 2 year of relevant operations experience or ability to learn.
Good communication skills.
RequirementsValid driver's license
CDL or able to obtain
Able to obtain hazmat endorsement
Able to obtain applicator's license
Able to work seasonal hours that require overtime and weekends to accomplish work goals indoors and outdoors
Ability to work at heights
Able to move/lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work well in a team environment
