Routine custodial work in cleaning and related tasks, performed according to established procedures and sanitary standards. Includes preventive/routine maintenance, minor repairs, and grounds keeping.

• Perform routine custodial work: vacuum carpeted areas, sweep and mop hard surface floors, clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms daily, dust high and low surfaces, collect and empty trash and dispose in central receptacle.
• Work safely using proper precautions for cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Maintain custodial equipment daily.

• Perform cleaning duties unique to assigned areas, such as shampooing carpet, stripping, scrubbing, waxing floors, cleaning walls, woodwork, baseboards, windows, blinds, and furniture.
• Perform minor and routine maintenance: change light bulbs, replace light covers, repair blinds.
• Submit work orders for maintenance problems to trigger repairs.
• Move furniture and equipment as directed.
• Operate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and scrubbers.
• Perform preventive/routine maintenance and grounds keeping tasks as needed.
• Perform emergency and special setup or cleanup functions.
• Lock and unlock building doors, meeting rooms, and classrooms.
• Assist with snow removal from entrance areas and steps.
• Remain available for work during non‑routine times to support special events.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum level of education, experience, or training providing required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold; bend, crouch, climb; lift safely in excess of 75 pounds; sufficient strength to perform assigned tasks.
