What You'll Do as a House Poultry Maintenance:

Perform preventative maintenance on poultry house equipment and systems

Maintain conveyors, collection systems, fan gearboxes, belts, chains, and related equipment

Complete general building, grounds, mill, and facility maintenance projects

Assist with mowing, landscaping, and manure handling duties as needed

Collect and dispose of deceased birds and assist with fly control and trash removal

Work closely with supervisors and production team members to minimize downtime

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

What You Need to Bring to the House Poultry Maintenance Role:

High school diploma or GED preferred

Good mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience

Welding and cutting torch knowledge required

Valid driver's license required

Ability to obtain a Nebraska Class A CDL license and meet DOT requirements

Ability to work at heights and in dusty agricultural environments

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions

Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when needed #SMNCareers
