Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - MARCOS Scholar Program. The student worker will provide key social media, student outreach, and advertising support for the MARCOS Program. Additional duties will bolster Student Wellness and access to the Food Pantry.

Core Responsibilities:
* Manage social media accounts:
Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok to help promote scholarship, research, and food accessibility to students.
* Analyze community-based resources for low-income students.
* Create fliers to advertise MARCOS and Student Wellness Events.
* Support new student recruitment initiatives.
* Assist with MARCOS student outreach, tabling, and support of student wellness initiatives.
* Increase access to student wellness:
* Assist with research to identify community-based referral sources that meet the demographic & support needs of our students (food insecurity, housing insecurity, mental health, financial assistance, legal aid, etc.).
* Assist with food pantry initiatives & management (inventory support/stocking of food accessibility location).
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
* Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
* Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, campus partners, and community organizations.
* Basic proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok), including posting content and engaging with audiences.
* Ability to create simple promotional materials, such as fliers or digital graphics, using Canva, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
* Interest in student wellness, food access, or community engagement, particularly for underserved or low-income student populations.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Comfort interacting with students in public-facing settings, such as tabling, outreach events, and recruitment activities.
