Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Maintenance Engineer I or Maintenance Engineer II role based at Bally’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, NV. The Maintenance Engineer will perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities to help ensure a safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained environment. Daily tasks include inspecting and repairing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, responding to maintenance requests, and documenting work performed.

The role also involves working with other team members and departments to address maintenance priorities, supporting property‑wide projects and upgrades, and following safety and regulatory guidelines. The Maintenance Engineer may work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for building systems, guest rooms, and facility infrastructure. Strong knowledge in central plant operations is a plus.
  • Experience in Maintenance Engineering, including troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and coordinating repairs across multiple systems.
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices, including scheduled inspections, servicing, and documentation of equipment performance.
  • Hands‑on Electrical Maintenance abilities, such as basic wiring, lighting repairs, and safe work practices around electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow technical manuals, safety procedures, and work orders; basic computer skills for maintenance logs and work order systems.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, use hand and power tools safely, and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a customer‑focused approach to supporting guests and internal departments.
  • Previous maintenance experience in hospitality, gaming, commercial, or residential properties is preferred; relevant technical or vocational training is a plus.
