Role We are seeking a Process Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for safe, reliable, and continuous lithium carbonate manufacturing operations by maintaining and repairing critical mechanical equipment. This role directly impacts plant availability, production efficiency, and safety by executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in compliance with company standards. The role is based at Thacker Pass office and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Occasional travel other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.

Key Responsibilities Performs all maintenance activities with a strong safety-first mindset, ensuring strict compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations along with site specific safety standards; actively identifies and mitigates observed hazards, conducts regular safety inspections of assigned areas, and fosters a culture where safe work practices and personal accountability are non-negotiable. Champions site safety standards and promotes open communication within group.

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical processing equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, pumps, gearboxes, thickeners, and associated systems

Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, bearings, shafts, belts, chains, couplings, and drive components

Troubleshoot mechanical failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability

Dismantle, repair, rebuild, and reassemble mechanical components using hand and power tools

Perform precision maintenance tasks including alignment, lubrication, torquing, and vibration checks
