Western Elite Heavy Duty Mechanic – Yellow Iron
Western Elite is looking for an experienced Yellow Iron Mechanic to join our team. The role involves inspecting, servicing, and maintaining our heavy-duty construction equipment. This position offers secure, steady employment in a family atmosphere.
Work DaysMonday - Friday and sometimes Saturday if needed.
Hourly Range$25 to $48 an hour, determined by experience.
ExperienceExperience with CAT, Excavators, loaders, dozers, and other Yellow Iron equipment.
Job DescriptionOperate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear. The Technician is responsible for performing jobs involving servicing and repair of equipment. Must evaluate and repair earth moving equipment. Demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions efficiently.

- Inspecting engines and equipment.
- Carrying out services.
- Conducting repairs.
- Providing routine maintenance to heavy equipment.
- Experience as a Yellow Iron Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Experience working with heavy machinery such as Caterpillar excavators, loaders, and dozers.
- Physically fit and capable of troubleshooting issues on the job site.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Yellow Iron Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
