Summer Maintenance Worker
$17.00/hour
Dates: 6/1/2026 - 8/14/2026
8 hours/day; first shift or as otherwise scheduled to meet work demands.
Job PurposeUnder general supervision, the Summer Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform a variety of painting projects.
Essential Functions of the Job- Must have painting experience
- Able to paint interior and exterior projects
- Ability to use /climb a ladder
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent unless otherwise agreed by the administration.
- Previous successful experience in a variety of painting projects.
- Knowledge of painting best practices
- Ability to perform physical labor inside and outside
- Ability to follow instructions
- Able to use an aerial lift and scaffolding
Skills and Abilities
- Language skills: ability to read, write, and speak documents, interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions, and prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Position is indoors and outdoors.
- Requires frequent walking and standing; occasional sitting and running.
- Requires bending or twisting at the trunk while performing duties.
- Requires climbing, squatting, stooping, kneeling, reaching above the head, and repeating the same hand motion many times.
- Requires routinely lifting and moving objects weighing at least 50 lbs or more.
- Must work in a school environment including extreme temperature variations and operate varied technologies and equipment.
- Vision: good depth perception and occasional distance vision.
- Hearing: must hear conversation in quiet and noisy environments and identify sound sources.
- Must communicate with the team to provide information or give directions.
