NAPL - New Albany Plain Local Joint Park District seeks a Maintenance Coordinator for its Facilities & Maintenance Department. This role plans, schedules, and coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance for public facilities, parks, and equipment. Responsibilities include overseeing work orders, contractor and vendor coordination, inventory and asset tracking, safety and compliance checks, and basic budgeting support. The Maintenance Coordinator will collaborate closely with operations and administration to minimize downtime, ensure safe, well-maintained spaces for the community, and support data-driven decisions using maintenance software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities, parks, and equipment
  • Create, prioritize, and track work orders in a CMMS or similar system
  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service vendors
  • Monitor facility conditions and respond to maintenance requests from staff
  • Maintain inventories of parts, supplies, and equipment; assist with purchasing
  • Support budget tracking, cost estimates, and maintenance reporting
  • Ensure compliance with safety, code, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Collaborate with operations and administration to minimize downtime
  • Recommend process improvements based on maintenance data and trends
