Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician possesses technical skills in several areas including machine and facility maintenance and can perform these tasks confidently and efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems according to established schedules.
Inspect and test equipment to identify issues and potential problems.
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts as needed to maintain optimal performance.

Repair and Troubleshooting:

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore functionality.
Conduct root cause analysis to determine underlying reasons for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Facility Maintenance:

Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
Monitor and maintain building infrastructure, such as roofs, walls, floors, and doors.
Address maintenance requests and issues reported by occupants or management in a timely manner.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Conduct safety inspections of equipment and facilities and address any hazards or non-compliance issues.
Follow established procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
Document repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks performed, including parts used and labor hours expended.
Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs for management review.

Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

Knowledge and experience in Facility and Machine maintenance.
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the packaging industry is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Work environment may include exposure to noise, vibrations, and hazardous materials.
May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights, and to lift heavy objects.
Flexible schedule may be necessary to accommodate maintenance needs, including evening, weekend, or on-call shifts.
Ability to walk, stand, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
