- We are looking to fill the position of maintenance supervisor. This is a HANDS-ON position reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The job is located at our Cold Storage facility in Taunton, MA.
- This position will also require local travel to other locations, such as New Bedford, MA.
- Oversee and perform upgrades to refrigerated warehouse space.
- Maintain existing warehousing and production facilities.
- Develop a skilled maintenance team and supervise a small group of maintenance technicians and helpers.
- Inspect and repair machinery and facility systems such as electrical and plumbing.
- Complete specific projects with or without help from the crew.
- Provide support for maintenance on various machines within a cold storage facility.
- Project management experience.
- Previous experience in facility/factory maintenance.
- Ability to create and follow plans for repair and maintenance.
- Preventive maintenance program experience / CMMS software a plus.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Ammonia Exp. Is a PLUS
- Operator 1-3 Cert is a PLUS
- EPA 608,601 a plus
- 2+ years mechanical and electrical experience maintaining forklifts and warehouse equipment or combination of experience and trade school.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, sanders in the set up and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds.
- Previous experience in Cold Store is a plus
- Previous experience in facility/factory refrigeration areas is desired.
- Compliance / Refrigeration programming is a plus
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and transportation.
