About the Role

Radius Packaging is seeking a TPM & Reliability Manager to join our team in New Berlin, WI. This role is responsible for developing and executing a reliability strategy that improves equipment uptime, machine efficiency, product quality, and maintenance effectiveness.

The TPM & Reliability Manager will lead the Preventive Maintenance program, PM team, and Maintenance Scheduler while helping build a world-class maintenance and reliability system focused on proactive maintenance, root cause elimination, project execution, and continuous improvement. This position will partner closely with Maintenance, Production, Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, and other departments to help Radius continue transitioning from a reactive maintenance environment to a proactive reliability culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the TPM and reliability strategy for the New Berlin facility
  • Establish and maintain an "OEM or higher" standard of care for equipment
  • Lead the transition from reactive maintenance to planned and preventive maintenance
  • Lead the Preventive Maintenance team and oversee daily PM activities
  • Ensure PMs are completed on schedule and to OEM specifications or better
  • Audit and improve PM procedures, timing, effectiveness, and ownership
  • Support reliability of blow molders, auxiliary equipment, and general facility systems
  • Develop technical skills within the Preventive Maintenance team
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts for chronic or recurring equipment failures
  • Implement reliable preventive actions and track their effectiveness
  • Analyze downtime data and identify opportunities to improve uptime and OEE
  • Lead reliability, best practice, and continuous improvement projects from concept through completion
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
  • Manage OEM and vendor service contracts
  • Coordinate contractors and outside resources as needed
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Maintain strong communication with Production, Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, and other departments
  • Support a safety-first culture by following all safety policies and proactively supporting the safety of others
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and food quality requirements as applicable
  • Drive continuous improvement using key reliability metrics, including PM completion rate, PM audit scores, unplanned downtime, OEE, and project completion performance
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of maintenance, engineering, reliability, or manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience managing maintenance systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to use ERP systems and maintenance data to analyze trends and drive decisions
  • Experience leading teams and partnering cross-functionally
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build accountability, urgency, ownership, and continuous improvement within a maintenance team

Preferred

  • Experience implementing TPM, RCM, preventive maintenance, or predictive maintenance programs
  • Experience in plastics, packaging, blow molding, or high-speed manufacturing
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience working with OEMs, vendors, contractors, and outside technical resources

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for extended periods, climbing steps, bending, squatting, using hands and arms for regular tasks, and lifting or carrying up to 30 to 50 pounds. The role also requires the ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment and work effectively in temperatures ranging from approximately 60 to 110°F.
