FULL-TIME FACILITY & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
John Newcombe Country Club – New Braunfels, TX
John Newcombe Country Club is seeking a reliable, skilled, and self‑motivated Full‑Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential to keeping our club, facilities, courts, and grounds operating at the high standard our members expect. Key Responsibilities Facility Maintenance- General repairs, preventative maintenance, and daily walkthroughs
- Basic carpentry, painting, patching, and woodwork projects
- Minor plumbing, lighting, and electrical troubleshooting
- Keep gym, lobby, locker rooms, and indoor spaces clean, functional, and safe
- Landscaping assistance: mowing, trimming, blowing, debris removal
- Trash removal across property and outdoor facilities
- Upkeep of pool deck, splash pad area, playground, turf, and common spaces
- Seasonal maintenance: power washing, staining, touch‑ups, weather prep
- Daily court checks and sweeping
- Blower operation, leaf/debris removal
- Net adjustments, windscreens, minor repairs
- Support with special projects and resurfacing timelines
- Monitor chemical levels and equipment
- Skimming, vacuuming, backwashing, and ensuring water clarity
- Daily safety inspections
- Meet onsite vendors, supervise scopes of work, and communicate needs
- Assist with project preparation, punch lists, and follow‑ups
- Strong work ethic & attention to detail
- Strong communicator
- Comfortable working outdoors year‑round
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and operate maintenance equipment
- Experience in facility, grounds, or general maintenance preferred
- Positive attitude and team‑first mindset
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Full‑time position (40 hours/week)
Occasional weekend or evening projects as needed
Starting Position Pay: $17‑20 per hour, depends on experience
