As a Temporary Maintenance Associate, you will help ensure our community remains comfortable, functional, and well‑maintained for residents, families, and team members. This is a great opportunity to contribute your skills in a meaningful environment while supporting the daily operations of a senior living community.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the community
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for residents and staff
  • Respond to routine maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks and basic equipment checks
  • Assist with light carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related tasks as needed
  • Help with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and completing seasonal projects
  • Monitor common areas, resident spaces, and exterior grounds for maintenance needs
  • Report safety concerns, hazards, or repair issues to the appropriate team members
  • Support housekeeping, environmental services, and other departments as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and community policies while completing assigned tasks

  • Previous maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of general repair and maintenance tasks

Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Associate‑Maintenance is responsible to assist in the general operational maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the Community’s physical plant. The Environmental Services Associate‑Maintenance is also responsible to communicate and help coordinate the necessary tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems.

  • Helps to perform general maintenance work (light, electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).
  • Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
  • Understands HVAC and may be asked to operate and/or maintain equipment.
  • Replenishes and maintains supply levels in work areas.
  • Assures all tools, work areas, and equipment are clean, in proper working order, and properly stored.
  • Helps to assure that the Community environment and all equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
  • Consistently and routinely maintains and repairs assigned equipment and reports any hazardous conditions.
  • Routinely replaces light bulbs, exit lights, room call lights, etc., where needed.
  • Conducts daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine necessary maintenance and repairs, if requested to do so.
  • Helps to assure that other team members follow established safety practices (OSHA).
  • Responsible for maintaining the general appearance of the building including, but not limited to, assisting and cleaning up after events and general clean up during scheduled shift, and arranging furniture on an ongoing basis.
  • Helps to maintain a preventative maintenance log on all mechanical systems.
  • Establishes and manages a preventative maintenance schedule.
