Evening shift, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Rotating weekends and holidays required.

$16.00 per hour (variable based on experience and qualifications).

Cleans all patient and non‑patient areas of the hospital and other areas as directed.

• Dust, damp mop, spot clean and disinfect fixtures, furnishings in both patient and non‑patient areas.
• Vacuum and spot clean mats and carpets as assigned.
• Empty, clean and re‑line waste baskets. Transport regular and contaminated waste/linen to the utility room or proper areas.
• Wash and disinfect beds/cribs at discharge and prepare the bed for the new occupant.
• Follow isolation cleaning procedures when cleaning isolation rooms to prevent the spread of pathogens.
• Clean and disinfect daily bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, doors, walls (as far as can be reached) and replenish bathroom supplies if necessary.
• Notify supervisor when supplies in the Environmental Services storage room are low and report work orders when repairs are needed in assigned areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and use supplies economically.
• Operate machines and equipment for hard floor surface maintenance, e.g., stripping, refinishing, burnishing and shampooing carpets.
• Deliver clean linen throughout the facility.
• Enhance professional growth and development by attending in‑service, required meetings and other educational programs.

• Know how to use common housecleaning implements such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads to keep areas clean and well serviced.
• Follow oral or written instructions.
• Work with constant concern for the safety of all people (patients, visitors, etc.).
• Interact in a positive manner with coworkers in all departments to accomplish the goals and objectives of the hospital for effective patient care.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch.
