Maintenance Coordinator
The Maintenance Coordinator oversees and performs both hands-on and administrative maintenance activities on the production floor. This role plans and coordinates facility and equipment maintenance, supervises repairs, and ensures that buildings and machinery operate safely and efficiently. The position is primarily on 1st shift and plays a key role in supporting a high-volume, just-in-time automotive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all activities involved in the maintenance of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Supervise and provide clear work direction for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Maintain the operating condition of buildings and equipment to support continuous production.
- Research, plan, and prepare proposals for the procurement of equipment, tools, and replacement parts.
- Diagnose equipment and facility problems and determine the necessary repairs and corrective actions.
- Implement and manage a preventive maintenance (PM) schedule to ensure work orders are released and completed on time.
- Supervise inventories of machine replacement parts, materials, and supplies to maintain proper stock levels.
- Act as the primary point of contact for outside vendors and service providers.
- Ensure company compliance with applicable state and federal codes, regulations, and safety laws.
- Support the development and implementation of 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Kaizen continuous improvement programs.
- Establish and execute monthly maintenance plans aligned with production requirements.
- Execute action items from the annual business plan to achieve key metrics such as downtime reduction and cost reduction.
- Administer performance reviews and provide feedback and guidance to maintenance personnel.
- Prioritize maintenance challenges in a fast-paced, just-in-time environment to minimize production interruptions.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of equipment as needed, including robotic welders and related systems.

Work Environment
The role is based in a permanent position in New Castle, Indiana, within an automotive seat manufacturing facility employing approximately 597 people across three shifts. The environment is clean, quiet, and climate-controlled, with most machines being robotic welders used to produce steel seats. The facility operates over 15 production lines in a just-in-time system, where products move to vehicles within hours of being manufactured, creating a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Openings are available on A shift (1st shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm). Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and up to 50 hours per week, including overtime as needed, while adhering to facility safety standards and production requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $84000.00/yr. Health, dental, vision, 401k and paid PTO.
