Ink Jet Technician

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Ink Jet Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high-volume inkjet printing equipment supporting strategic communications and public affairs campaigns. In this on-site role, you'll set up and run print jobs, monitor output quality, and perform routine mechanical and electronic maintenance to keep systems running reliably. You'll work closely with a collaborative, high-performance team to meet tight deadlines, support high-impact advocacy and reputational projects, and continuously improve print workflows and equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain inkjet printing equipment for client communications projects
• Perform routine mechanical and electronic troubleshooting on inkjet systems
• Set up print jobs, adjust settings, and verify output quality against specifications
• Manage inks, print heads, and consumables inventory; coordinate reorders as needed
• Collaborate with account and production teams to meet tight client deadlines
• Document maintenance activities and follow safety and equipment procedures
• Support process improvements to enhance throughput, color accuracy, and reliability
• Inspect finished materials and ensure compliance with layout and branding standards
