Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

River Woods Durham, a resident-centered Continuing Care Retirement Community in Durham, NH, is seeking a Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for older adults. This role is responsible for daily cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, and care neighborhoods, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation. The Housekeeper follows infection control and safety standards, handles laundry and linens, and reports maintenance needs.

As part of a collaborative, mission-driven team, you will build meaningful relationships with residents while supporting their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors according to schedule
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners safely
• Follow infection control and universal precaution protocols
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and shared spaces
• Handle laundry and linens, including collection and distribution
• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Report maintenance and safety concerns promptly
• Follow facility policies, checklists, and cleaning standards
• Interact respectfully with residents and support their comfort and privacy
