Attractions Mechanical Technician Assistant

Morey's Piers is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill our positions of Attractions Mechanical Technician Assistants. The right individuals will train with Senior Attractions Mechanical Technician Mentors for 6-12 months as they assist with and learn the daily duties to understand the role. Attention to detail in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining amusement equipment including, but not limited to amusement rides, games, water parks, and support equipment is an essential part of the position.

Our Attractions Maintenance Team is the first line of support for our guest and employee safety as well as the Company's success.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualities:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Desire to learn a trade and work hard.
• Working knowledge of proper use of common hand tools.
• Ability to provide and maintain one's basic hand tools.
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to arrive on time and follow a schedule.
• Ability to complete tasks using a computer or tablet.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Dependable and eager to grow in the role.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Entry level experience.

Additional physical requirements include:

• Comfortable working at heights above 50 feet.
• Lifting equipment and other items up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
• Able to walk and climb stairs and work at varied elevations including rooftops.
• Able to perform physical work including standing, walking, crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping.
• Able to work in varying weather through all seasons (rain, wind, cold temperatures, direct sunlight, or high heat and humidity).

This is a full time, benefitted role in Wildwood, NJ offering a competitive hourly rate ($18 - $24) and benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other perks. Individuals must be able to work a schedule of 40 to 48 hours per week as required. This may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends during our operational season but a generous time off programs helps to balance peak season requirements.
