General Description: Under the supervision of the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor or designated staff, the Summer Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance, repair, custodial, and grounds-related duties at municipal buildings, parks, and recreational facilities. The position assists full-time staff with daily operations and seasonal projects to ensure Township facilities are clean, safe, and properly maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with general building and grounds maintenance activities
• Perform basic repair work, painting, cleaning, and custodial duties
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, equipment, and event materials
• Assist with park and recreation facility maintenance
• Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe manner
• Remove trash and debris from municipal properties and parks
• Assist with landscaping, mowing, trimming, and other outdoor maintenance tasks
• Support seasonal projects and special events as assigned
  
  Follow all safety procedures and department policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment preferred
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools
